Holmenkollen

Holmenkollen is the site of a massive ski jump that can be seen for miles. It has been rebuilt for ski championships and olympics again and again. Norway just got the World Ski Champs for 2011 and there is talk of doing it all again.

You can go right up to the top and the view is incredible — you can see all of oslo. In the base is a ski museum with skis over 1000 years old. There is also a funny ski simulator that is kinda crap and this picture of a guy skiing at the olympics wearing a tie. So cool.

There was also this old guy who was going crazy on the dancefloor before anyone else was dancing. You can see him behind me in one of these photos.

But, since pot here is practically heroin it was only full of asian tourists, Norwegians “enjoying the weather” and no pot smoking Canadians.
